Saturday July 31st was the running of the 2nd annual "Sully's to Surf" fun run.  Modeled loosely after the bar to breakers which was a favorite local event for many years back in the day.  Stories abound around the event and its wacky participants.  Jane Silvan decided that it was time for more of that local fun and the race was resurrected in 2009 with costumes (or not) participants running, walking, biking and scooting down highway 84 from la Honda to San Gregorio. Participants came from all out local communities.  Highlights of the race included the pit stops along the way where locals living along the road set up booths serving food, drink and even music to the racers.  Truly you have to see it to believe it.  Trophys were awarded to the first runner, the fastest team, the best costume and the best on the road experience.  Netxt year the race will be held on Saturday July 16th.  keep an eye/ear out for more info.
